The investor map is a bubble chart that assists in prioritizing and analyzing performance of projects or sub-portfolios in a portfolio.

1. Configure the Investor Map.
Use the projects or Portfolios view to configure the map. The x and y-axis define where bubbles appear on the chart based on the attributes selected.
The size and color are optional and determine how the bubbles will appear. For example, view projects based on their evaluation score and planned budget. The size and color of the bubbles are based on these attributes. Hover over each bubble to view details.

2. Reference lines.
Enable reference lines to separate the chart into quadrants based on values and performance metrics. Indicate which projects are doing well by checking the option to use colors to depict different sections on the chart. The color of each quadrant is determined by enabling or disabling the higher values.
In this example, the reference lines for the quadrants will be drawn on the chart at 50% of the evaluation score and $400,000 of the planned budget. The quadrants will identify good performing projects based on higher evaluation scores and low planned budgets. Red indicates poor performance. Yellow indicates neutral performance. Green indicates good performance.
In this example, a number of projects are performing well based on the analysis. In another example, for planning purposes, view projects based on their evaluation score and strategic priority. The size and color of the bubbles are based on these attributes. Use reference lines to draw where projects fall in the quadrant based on the high evaluation and strategic values.

3. Multiple views of investor maps.
Multiple views can be created and filtered for a variety of investor maps. Monitor performance for approved budget or resource plans. Use refresh periodically to ensure the latest projects for the portfolio are displayed.
