1.Planning Horizon.
A portfolio's budget plan can span many years. This period is known as the planning horizon. Use the Budget Planning Detail window to define the planning horizon and the periods within it. These periods represent the time schedule you will use to allocate money to the portfolio to find periods that best enable you to capture budget values and control the granularity of costs.
2. The time scale on the Budget planning page.
After setting the horizon, define how many years are planned monthly, quarterly, or annually. These values must add up to the planning horizon. The time scale on the Budget planning page is displayed based on the planning horizon settings. The first two years in months, the next year in quarters, and the last two years annually. You can begin planning for the current year or next year.
