1. Add Program.
Create a program to efficiently manage projects with common objectives. The Add Program wizard walks you through the process of creating a program. Defined program details, and then assign projects. You must assign projects from the same workspace or child workspaces. Select projects manually or apply a filter. For example, create a program for high priority projects.


2. User and Group access.
Specify user and group access and assign permission sets. The wizard ensures all required information is captured. Open the program to work on your projects. 


3. Evaluate strategic alignment
Evaluate the program for alignment with your company's strategic objectives. 


4. Activities page.
The activities page displays all project schedules in the program on one page. Use detail windows to updates activity progress. Modify relationships and assign resources.
View scope assignments and create tasks. Use the program usage detail panel to analyze and manage resource and roll usage across the program without having to navigate away from the Activities page. Select Resources or Roles in the left panel and view usage in a histogram. Stacked histogram or spreadsheet. Pre-configured filters enable you to view usage for all activities. Activities for a selected time period or activities for selected resources.
You can analyze usage, make adjustments in the resource assignments detail window and then view the results of your changes. When you are finished updating the project's, schedule them all simultaneously. Finally, use the Milestone Summary page to track program and project status. 


5. View and upload files.
View and upload files that supports the program and individual projects. And use custom logs to organize the files into specific types, such as meeting minutes and executive reports. Add codes and configured fields to further differentiate files added to the log.


6. Manage program resources.
Manage resources across the program. View resource and role assignments and analyze usage. Identify overallocation and underutilization. 


7. Cost & Funds.
The Summary Cost Sheet enables you to track program expenses by project and by CBS code. 
The Budget page enables you to manage program cost items. Transfer budget amounts between the program and its projects and between projects in the program.
Use the Program Funds page to manage program funding sources. View totals status and distribution over time. The Cash Flow page allows you to analyze budget and actual costs for the program using a time phased view. 


8. Program risk register.
Track all program and project risks in the program risk register. Enter program risks, relevant risk response actions and view the scores. Project risk scores are recalculated by the program risk register, so that all of the program and project risks can be compared and prioritized on a consistent basis. 


9. Lean scheduling.
Create and update tasks for lean scheduling. 


10. Dashboards.
And finally, use dashboards to give visual representation of program data and quickly disseminate it to program team members.
