LESSON 2-1: Setting Up P6 Integration

This lesson describes how to:
•    Use integration to share data between Primavera Cloud and P6
•    Use Business flows

1. Use integration to share data between Primavera Cloud and P6.
Use integration to share data between Primavera Cloud and P6. Add your P6 URL, connection information, and select the workspace where P6 Projects will reside in Primavera Cloud. If you have multiple P6 instances, create multiple P6 connections in which to transfer data. Use advanced settings to encrypt the data during transfer. Select from the list of predefined business flows what type of data you want to transfer.

2. Use Business flows
Business flows use field mappings to link data between Primavera Cloud and P6. Global business flows add data to the workspace level. For example, add P6 resources to a Primavera Cloud workspace. The project business flows add data to the project level. For example, add activities to a project. Click the Business Flow link to view the mappings and add additional field mappings if needed.


3. Execute Business flows
On the Synchronize page, either from the workspace or project, select a business flow to execute. In this example, we added data in Primavera Cloud to be updated in P6. Select Send Primavera Cloud Project Data to P6 and then click Run. Switch to the Monitor page to view when the synchronization is complete or if there were errors during the execution of the job. Data added in Primavera Cloud is displayed in P6.
If you add new resources in P6 that you want synced in Primavera Cloud, select Send Resources to Primavera Cloud. Monitor when the job is complete and then view the newly added resources.
