Aconex has a lot of features, and that can appear confusing if you're new to it. Let's take a quick look at all the available modules. Along the top are the different modules. You won't necessarily see all of them, because not all projects use them.Let's look at the most commonly used modules.
Here we are on the Tasks page. It's always the first page you see when you first log in. It has a list of things that need your attention from the other modules. Then we have Documents where we manage all project-related documentation. You'll spend a lot of time in this module. Next is Mail, where we manage all project related communication. You'll also spend alot of time in this module.
The Workflows module tracks and manages document reviews on your project. Then there's the Directory where you can search for other people and manage mailing groups. Insights is where you can use reports, dashboards, and insights to seehow your project is tracking. The Setup module is where you manage preferences and settings for you and your team.What you see here will depend on your assigned role.
Now let's look at some of the other more advanced modules available. Models is where you share, coordinate, and updatemodels on your project. Next is field, which is used to manage site inspections, issues, and defects. Then there's packages that helps teams create, manage, and distribute sets of documents. Bids or tenders, depending on which part of the worldyou're in, manage tender invitations and responses.
The Cost module provides a comprehensive set of tools for budget and contract management. Supply Documents is used for coordinating the submission of large sets of documents-- think thousands. It can be used with other organizations aswell as within your own organization. Well, that's a lot of modules, right? It's important to remember that you won'talways see every module, because they may not be in use by your project team.
